Join the evolution and become a creative professional. In June 2012, the University of Western Sydney and UWSCollege will offer thirty creative people the chance to develop essential business skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification in management of creative enterprise.
Developed and delivered by UWSCollege, the new Associate Degree in Creative Industries is an award of the University of Western Sydney which combines units from the Schools of Business, Law, and Humanities and Communication Arts.
The Associate Degree in Creative Industries is grounded in the practical application of business and management models, with an emphasis on developing knowledge and skills that creative industries workplaces require.
Students are trained across all areas of creative industries business management and benefit from sharing this learning experience with a select group of people who understand the creative process. Practical course activities expose students to essential professional practices and enable them to make valuable industry connections whilst studying.
The Associate Degree in Creative Industries is relevant to those seeking a business degree to strengthen their creative training or a management qualification to fulfil a senior role within a creative organisation.
Creative industry sectors include: Interactive and Digital Design; Music and Performing Arts; Film, Television and Radio; Writing and Publishing; Advertising and Marketing; Media and Communication and Visual Arts.
