The Piggery Lane Studios and Gallery is a part of The Hawkesbury Community Arts Workshop at the UWS Hawkesbury Campus in Richmond, where 6 artists have studios in which to work and display their artwork.
The old Agricultural College Piggery building ( D9 ) which is over 100 years old, is located just inside the gates on Campus Drive (formerly Piggery Lane) off the Blacktown Road, and parking is available.
You may like to visit Sharron Whittington, Shelley Whittington, Marian Wilcox, Malcolm Robertson, Anne Freeman and Jenny Lloyd. at their Studios or the Gallery which showcases a wide variety of framed and unframed oil paintings, watercolours, pastels, and drawings ranging from traditional local scenes to modern, contemporary works. A range of pottery and art from other members of the Hawkesbury Community Arts Workshop is also on display.
At present there are no regular opening times, but the gallery is open almost every day whenever one of the artists is working there, and visitors are always welcome. If you are planning to visit it may be advisable to ring and check beforehand to see if somebody will be there.
The next scheduled open weekend is the 'Hawkesbury Artists & Artisan's Trail' weekend 31st March - 1st April
