FUNDING: JUMP MENTORING APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN!

JUMP Mentoring is open to creative practitioners of all mediums, producers, editors and curators who are in the first five years of their professional practice. Applications close 19 October 2012!

JUMP aims to make an impact on the early stages of a recipient’s career, help them gain networks, be inspired and exchange ideas, whilst working on an applied mentorship and creative project with a mentor who helps them jump to the next level.

Could you be a JUMP recipient?
Recipients of JUMP will be in the early stages of their professional arts career; committed to and excited by a professional career in the arts. They would be recognised by their peers as creating work of high calibre and will have put together a plan that shows they can manage a project and a budget successfully. The pairing with their mentor will show they have thought about the gaps in their knowledge, networks and skills and their mentor is committed to and excited about working with them.

Individuals can apply for up to $10,000. Groups can apply for up to $20,000. Don’t worry about the payment of your mentor when applying, our industry partner will sort that out for you. For more details on mentor payment see our FAQs on the website.

Through JUMP you can apply for fees to work on your mentorship, funds to support additonal professional development and for costs towards your creative project. For further information on potential mentorship activities see our FAQs on the website.

There’s a great opportunity via a national skills intensive, run by our industry partner to exchange thoughts, debate ideas, set up a mentorship contract and develop networks with other JUMP recipients. As recipients you need to be available to attend the skills intensive in mid February 2013 as it is a vital part of the JUMP program.
