Colourfest is Australia's first and only multicultural film festival and this year they are looking for both short and feature films to showcase across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Hobart.
Films must be produced in the last two years (May 2010 onwards) and portray the lives of one or more culturally diverse Australians.
Colourfest challenges the lack of representation and often stereotypical portrayals of migrants/refugees by showcasing a more real and inclusive image of Australians as a nation of diverse faces.
Entry of films to the festival is free. Visit Coloufest for submission form and guidelines. Entries close 10th of August.
Best Short Film wins $2000 cash courtesy of AFTRS along with a host of other prizes.
