Parramasala is a unique and lively festival with core contemporary arts and entertainment programs presented to date in Parramatta City’s performing arts centre (Riverside Theatres) and other centrally located venues, including the Town Hall, outdoor stages and special festival sites.
Apart from the ticketed programs, the festival embraces free concerts and performances, workshops, exhibitions and markets with South Asian food, fashion and handicrafts. The content of the festival is intentionally eclectic and wide-ranging and includes the performing arts, music, film, a bustling marketplace, visual arts, street animation and popular entertainment.
The right individual will likely have significant experience in performing arts and events, a long history of successful programming for Australian or international audiences, a depth of knowledge and experience in arts and entertainment from the South Asian region and/or internationally and experience in the delivery of major popular arts festivals and/or events.
