MELANIE ARAYA

Melanie has a large passion for the performing arts and has been in training since 2006. She has been educated in various styles of drama and has graduated from the Australian International Performing Arts High School. Melanie has performed in various plays and participated in short films. Throughout her time she has done contemporary dance and participated in stage combat. She has had experience in various parts of theatre, accomplishing a Certificate III in Live Production, Theatre & Events at NIDA where she has also done acting. The young artist has been a successful applicant for the Griffin Ambassadors program two years in a row and is also associated with the MCA as a member of the Youth Mentors.

In visual arts, Melanie likes to stick with drawing and painting. She works with various tools such as pencil, pen, ink, charcoal, watercolour, paint and other mixed media. Had work showcased in local event WestXpress (2010). During 2011, Melanie was proud to have her works selected to be exhibited for the special event of Edward Gant's Amazing Feat's of Loneliness at Sydney Theatre Company held by Youth Advisory Panel.

Lately in 2012, Melanie and a close creative friend of hers have joined forces to found a new production company called Mon Sans Productions. With visions of producing independent plays and collaborating with other young artist, Mon Sans aims to involve budding artist to practice their art in a professional fashion.
