Krosswerdz is an incorporated, non-for-profit group that promotes Hip Hop as a medium of positive social change and artistic self expression. They partner with youth, art, and Christian organisations to help young people develop skills in the four elements of hip hop (emceeing, DJing, graff and breaking).
Arms of operation-
:: Community and cultural development programs for young people, including mentoring and a weekly breakdancing program in Sydney South West.
:: Practical support to mainstream creative art organisations that hold hip hop events. Support includes hosting, DJing, providing emcees and bboys for performances, aerosol art, creative arts mentoring, administration and promotion
:: A faith based ministry that provides interdenominational church services and pastoral care to those in the hip hop community.
:: Support and advice to Churches and Christian youth programs that are seeking to establish music and creative arts programs for young people.
:: Coordination of the UPROCK International Hip Hop Summit, with the first summit being held 11/11/11 - 14/11/11.
