Position Indigenous Curator, Contemporary Art
Djon is a member of Bandjalung people of Northern NSW. He has built an extensive career as curator, activist, writer and occassional artist, reknowned as concept curator for Aboriginal Memorial installation permanently exhibited at National Gallery of Australia.
He was awarded an OAM in 1993 and was Research Professor at Minpaku Museum of Ethnology in Osaka, Japan (2005-06).
Djon is currently the Indigenous Curator at- Contemporary Art at Campbelltown Arts Centre.
