Debbie Hatumale, DH Inc. Director

Debbie Hatumale's style of Hip Hop is heavily influenced by Popping, Street jazz and Girl’s Hip Hop. Even though she has only had two years of Hip Hop dance training, she is the current winner of University of New South Wales's D2MG Level 6 All Style Freestyle Battle, representing the Macquarie University Dance Academy. She started dance at her local youth centre when she was 12 years old, touching on different dance styles such as Contemporary, Jazz and Tap. After a long break from dance, a friend took her to a casual Hip Hop class and her passion for dance was reignited instantaneously.

She is currently a dance instructor for various schools around Sydney, including Abbotsleigh Private School for Girls, Macquarie University, University of NSW Cheer Squad, and Sportech Australia. She is also Macquarie University Dance Academy's Head Choreographer and Event Manager. Her experience in Choreography and Dance Team Management has lead her to gain skills in Public Relations, Marketing, Events Management, Music Production and Editing, Video Production and Editing, as well as Media Writing, Publicity and Human Resource Management.

As well as instructing dance, her previous Gymnastics experience has lead her to instruct Cheerleading in many High Schools around Sydney. In 2009, she was the Artistic Director for the Philippines Basketball Association’s Half Time Show, directing and choreographing over 40 Hip hop dancers, Bboys, Kids and Stunt team members and Cheerleaders to produce a dynamic hip hop show for the PBA Legends Basketball Tournament.

She aim’s to always produce cutting edge choreography and movement, and to nuture original clients ideas to be able to provide a complete dance service.
