Position Ceramic Artist & Painter
The deep passion I have for colour has taken me from being a Traditional Painter where I generally painted the beautiful landscapes of the Australian country side into the contemporary and versatile world of Ceramic Art in the prestigious Sydney College of the Arts at The University of Sydney where in 2011 I started a Bachelor of Visual Arts.
In still-life paintings such as ‘Quince’ (image 2 of 7) I was particularly drawn to the sunlight, seeking to capture those small instances of pure light and reflection on everyday subjects, however Ceramic objects such as ‘Dino’ (image 7 of 7) have open up a dimension that I had never experienced with 2D paintings before. Light, tones and colours have being not only a delicious joy to experience in the final object but a tremendous journey that I have encountered though experimenting, researching and pure eagerness to learn.
I enjoy working with people with disabilities and hold a CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability work.
